Minimal Surfaces via Weierstrass Formula
This applet shows minimal surfaces computed by complex integration of the Weierstrass functions. The slider "Integration discr" determines the accuracy of the numerical integration.
Each minimal surface has a conjugate minimal surface and a associated family of minimal surfaces blending between these two surfaces. This associated family parameter can be controlled by the "Conjugation" slider, but it can also be animated: Activate the animation panel via menu ->Window->Animation from control panel, via shortcut ctrl-a, or by pressing F4 and start the animation.
The other sliders controll the discretization and the range of the parameter domain and, for some surfaces, the symmetry order of the minimal surface.
Some of the surfaces allow to interactively add reflections of a fundamental part of the surface.
